| BIOGRAPHY |  Christine Anderson, a doctor of chiropractic has been practicing in Hollywood since graduating summa cum laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College - Los Angeles, in 1989. Dr. Anderson completed a 3 year program and testing which affords her Diplomate status and Board Certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics and Pregnancy. She has obtained her Diploma in Homeopathy through the British Institute of Homeopathy.
Dr. Anderson has contributed articles on various health issues which have appeared in The Independent Newspapers, Children's Magazine, and The International Chiropractors Association Review. She was consulted for the book "I Got Pregnant, You Can Too" by Katie Boland. She has set up the pre/post natal exercise program at the Hollywood YMCA and conducts one of the weekly classes.
She recently lectured at the Annual International Pediatrics Conference on "Fertility, Infertility, and Chiropractic. "Dr. Chris" is also very involved in bringing up her three children Toxil, Anzac, and Seven; she volunteers regularly at their school and has also coached soccer! |

| BIOGRAPHY | Steven Angel is an Emmy-nominated composer and master percussionist who began performing at age six with the legendary Buddy Rich. He has recorded with Jimi Hendrix and Noel Redding, and has toured with Herman's Hermits and The Animals. As an adult, Steven has spent time recovering from the repercussions of a childhood spent in the spotlight. He reconnected to his passion, the drum, and now teaches others how to express themselves through the power of rhythm. His Drumming For Your Life workshops have been featured on NBC, CBS, CNN, the BBC, in The LA Times and The Daily News. | BIOGRAPHY | An award-winning documentary writer/producer in her† pre-motherhoo? life, Marcy Axness has turned her penetrating eye to early human development. Using as a narrative foundation her experience as an adoptee and a mother, Dr. Axness researches the attachment and developmental implications of conventional parenting practices. Her specialization in prenatal and perinatal development grew out of a decade of writing and speaking, internationally, on the tapestry of issues involved in adoption and adoptive parenting in particular. She is one of the worl?s leading experts on the primal issues in adoption. Dr. Axness’ doctoral studies were highly interdisciplinary, yielding an understanding of myriad human development influences from exoteric to esoteric—from cell biology and neurophysiology to non-local consciousness effects and movements of soul. Included in her studies was an in-depth survey of the socio-cultural underpinnings of attitudes and behaviors around pregnancy, birth and parenting, with particular focus on reproductive and birth technologies; as well as “frontier” theories of human development, most notably those of Rudolf Steiner. She will soon be working with an NIH-funded team of scientists who have for twenty years been studying the effects of pregnant mothers’ stress upon fetal development and birth outcomes; she will help design a study to specifically explore the stressor effects of a pregnant woman’s anticipation of relinquishing her baby for adoption. Dr. Marcy has a counseling/coaching practice—with offices in the Valley and on the Westside—guiding parents in supporting their children’s optimal early development through the practical application of leading-edge research. Banker, M.D., Ophthalmologist, General Practitioner and pioneer in the field of complimentary medicine, is an internationally known crusader and lecturer on "Natural Vision Improvement" - good vision without glasses. From his early roots in the Medical Corps of Israel, into his studies in pharmaceutical chemistry and today as an Acupuncturist and Herbalist, his energies have always found their way to healing. After owning and managing a pharmaceutical company for twenty years, he decided to transition to the clinical side of medicine, combining his passion for eastern philosophy and his belief in holistic approaches. He graduated with high honors from Emperors' College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Monica and has been licensed both by the California board and by NCCAOM. He has worked in the chemical dependency ward of Daniel Freeman Hospital and at the Los Angeles Free Clinic. | BIOGRAPHY | Dr. Simon J. Barker, ND received his doctoral degree form Bastyr University in Seatltle. After graduation, he spent three years practicing in a multidisciplinary clinic in Connecticut. While there, he set up satellite clinics in three further locations. He was an Associate Professor of Clinical Studies at the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine. He also served as the vice-president of the Connecticut Society of Naturopathic Physicians in 2003. He holds a BA and an MA from the University of Connecticut. He studied for three years at the School of Homeopathic Medicine in Darlington, England, before returning to the United States for his naturopathic training. | BIOGRAPHY | Barbara has counseled children in six LAUSD Elementary Schools, using art therapy. Noticing how children are so often feeling disconnected, she started studying both Maria Montessori and Joseph Pearce. In their developmental theories there is a recognition of the necessity for children to bond with nature at an early age. We are all part of the natural world, whether we live in the city or the country, and Montessori believed the wonder and admiration of nature enabled children to unify their thinking. By learning how all things are related, they will understand that, no matter what we touch, an atom, or a cell, we cannot explain it without knowledge of the wide universe. Pearce’s model of development is one of moving from the mother matrix, to the earth matrix, to the self matrix, indicating that the bond with the earth is a necessary stage in preparation for a healthy sense of self. Without it, he believed the self is impaired. Given what Montessori and Pearce have said, and the current state of the planet, we have two things at stake: the individual healthy development of the child, and the consequences of how the adult will care for the earth, or not! | BIOGRAPHY | Linde Farmer, RN, trained in Germany, specializing in therapies for the vocal cords and respiratory system, which involved movement, sound and breath work. In the U.S. she trained as a psychiatric nurse, and worked in hospital settings. Confronted with burn-out syndrome, she found how nutrition played a leading role in her recovery. Linde continues to work with nutrition, exploring fermentation of vegetables, and cooking methods to preserve the medicinal value of foods. Her new project is to teach children how to garden and cook for good health.
